Qatar recently took part in the 31st ministerial meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Electricity and Water Cooperation Committee, held in Manama, Bahrain. The Qatari delegation was led by Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs.
The primary focus of the meeting was to enhance collaboration among GCC countries regarding electricity and water security. Participants engaged in discussions on crucial issues such as regional electricity interconnectivity, water security, and the challenges posed by rising energy demand.
During the session, the committee reviewed the progress achieved since the previous meeting and underscored the importance of increased coordination among member states. This coordination is deemed essential to effectively address regional challenges and bolster cooperation in the energy and water sectors.
