Qatar has issued a strong condemnation of recent ballistic missile attacks by the Houthi group on the Saudi Arabian cities of Taif and Yanbu. The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs labeled these attacks as a breach of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and a violation of international law.
In its official statement, Qatar expressed its rejection of any assaults targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, urging an immediate cessation of such actions. The ministry emphasized that such attacks not only threaten Saudi Arabia but also destabilize the region.
Qatar further expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia, underscoring its support for the kingdom’s efforts to maintain its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity. This stance highlights the interconnected nature of security among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, of which both Qatar and Saudi Arabia are members.
