During his visit, Rijiju met with Qatar’s current Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, delivering heartfelt condolences from the Indian government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rijiju praised the late Father Amir as a visionary leader who significantly contributed to Qatar’s progress and the strengthening of ties between the two countries. The Indian community in Qatar also mourns his loss, holding his contributions in high regard.
Prime Minister Modi previously paid homage to Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, recognizing him as a true friend of India and commending his efforts in enhancing bilateral relations.
